Bahia Ballena is well known for its whale watching trips because Humpack Whales bring their young closer to the shore in that area to teach their babies how to breathe and swim.
Unfortunately, we did not get to see any whales, but we got to see two species of Dolphins: spotted Dolphins and bottle nose Dolphins (the ones we are used to seeing all the time in movies and stuff).

In addition, we went snorkeling, walked through caves, visited a water fall and got to see Ballena Isla, which is one of the most photographed places in Costa Rica.
In addition we saw some interesting creatures on the way:
Then, the following day, we went to Manuel Antonio, which is home to a national park where monkeys, sloths, etc. live. Though we may have gone too late in the day because we didn't see many animals.
